Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney did a great job at the Dearborn, MI GOP Debate yesterday. Townhall's own Matt Lewis, who happens to be on my Blog Roll, had some positive things to say.
"Townhall's Matt Lewis: "Romney makes a good point about the line item veto. He used it 844 times, he says. Romney also points out that Rudy fought against it all the way to the Supreme Court. This is what he sees as a clear contrast..." (I strongly agree with Romney about this)." (Matt Lewis, "Live Blogging The Debate," Towhall, http://townhall.com/blog/, Posted 10/9/07)"
"- Lewis: "Matthews asks all the candidates how Republicans can win back the voters. ... Romney, perhaps answering Huckabee and McCain, says we need to be confident and optimistic. Amen!" (Matt Lewis, "Live Blogging the Debate," Townhall, 10/9/07)"
Commentators are praising Mitt as having done a great job presenting himself, and in answering the questions like someone who is an expert. Here is what another commentator had to say:
"MSNBC's Domenico Montanaro: "There was a clear difference seeing Fred Thompson versus Romney in style. Romney was much more direct, clearer and had a handle on the issues." (Domenico Montanaro, "On Style," MSNBC's First Read, http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/, Posted 10/9/07)"

I have unofficially supported Mitt Romney since I first began my blog on May 31, 2007. I recently made that decision an official one. Mitt and Ann Romney are people that America should be proud of, and I can see them being right at home in the White House.
I can envision them leading our country in a positive way, and in a direction that would enable America to reach new strengths, as a strong physical presence, as well as an impressive moral role model, for the rest of the world.
Mitt Romney has a strong viewpoint against Jihadist terrorists. He also wants to make Internet predators wish they had never become involved in these activities.* Ann Romney has a true passion for helping America's children and teens.**
Mitt and Ann's Mormon faith enable them to have the same values that Christians embrace. Mitt is a candidate who has led the life that he preaches, and that should count more than the fact that some Christians don't like Mormonism.
Mormonism is not the issue; having a strong, moral leader who won't back down to Jihadist terrorists or to leaders of terrorist countries is of paramount importance. Mitt is this man, and, with the help of tolerant Christians, can well become the next U.S. Republican President.
