Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Mitt Romney is a Mormon, and this is the only obstacle he will need to conquer in order to become our next Republican president. This doesn't need to hamper him, if only evangelical Christians could learn to be truly tolerant, as Jesus taught. If you are an evangelical Christian, learn a lesson from your Lord and Savior: support Mitt Romney. Mitt's Mormonism is irrelevant to his potential U.S. presidency.
Mitt Romney recently lashed out at the United Nations in a powerful address that he gave to the Republican Jewish Coalition's Presidential Candidates Forum on Tuesday, October 16.
Are you unhappy that Al Gore unjustly won the Nobel Peace Prize, and that he won it jointly with the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change?*
Are you fed up with the perpetually liberal attitude that the United Nations consistently portrays to the world? If so, then Governor Mitt Romney's incredible speech is a must-read. If you haven't already read my post about this speech, I encourage you to do so today.**
Here is a brief excerpt from Governor Mitt Romney's address:
"'The UN Human Rights Council, however, has a particularly repugnant record. It has repeatedly targeted Israel, while remaining virtually silent in the face of egregious violations by the world's worst human rights abusers: Iran, Burma, North Korea, Cuba, Sudan, Zimbabwe and Syria. It is time to end U.S. support for this sad spectacle – the United States should withdraw immediately from the UN Human Rights Council.'" 1
Are you aware of any other Republican presidential candidate speaking out like this against the United Nations? If you are, then please let me know. Mitt Romney is never afraid to say what he thinks, even if other liberals or conservatives disagree. Mitt's sole drive and purpose is to become our next conservative Republican president, so that he will then be in a position where he can circumvent the actions of sexual predators*** and Jihadist terrorists.****
Mitt Romney also wants to lower your taxes dramatically, so that anyone that earns under $200,000 per year will no longer have to pay taxes on interest, dividends, or capital gains. Mitt is the only Republican candidate who actually signed a no-tax pledge, and said that the only situation in which he would consider the possibility of abandoning that pledge is this: "'If King Kong attacks California, why, we'd obviously have to reconsider, but that's not...'"*****
