Mitt Romney Is S.C. Sen. Bryant's New Pick

Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney received yet another conservative endorsement from Anderson, South Carolina Sen. Kevin Bryant, on Tuesday, November 6. Sen. Bryant is a strong advocate for conservative principles, and supported a controversial law in South Carolina this year that would have required women seeking an abortion to look at an ultrasound first. The measure did not, however, pass the South Carolina Legislature. 1

Sen. Bryant previously supported Sam Brownback. "Bryant says in a statement that Romney is the only candidate with the experience, values and vision to solve the problems facing the United States."

"Romney is beginning a two-day swing through South Carolina in Greenville." 1

Did you hear that? Sen. Bryant, a strong pro-life senator, and a man associated with the highest of conservative principles, thinks that Governor Mitt Romney is "the only candidate" who meets the necessary conservative values to be the next U.S. President.

If you are an evangelical Christian, and you are still wavering from your theological assumptions about Mitt Romney being a Mormon, I submit this question to you: Why do so many evangelical and conservative leaders (and the list is rapidly growing), not seem to be that concerned about Mitt Romney's Mormon faith? The reason apparently is that Mitt Romney is being looked at as the clear choice at this point. His wife, Ann, is the epitome of everything a First Lady should be, and fully supports and exemplifies Mitt's values.

I know there are many evangelical Christians out there that would be strong supporters of Mitt Romney if only he happened to be an evangelical Christian. As the circumstances of his birth and direction in life would have it, he is not. He will, most likely, remain a Mormon. You have a choice. You can risk the potential danger of Rudy Giuliani or Hillary Clinton gaining the White House seat, or you can get off your religious high horse and start supporting the one man America needs, that is, Mitt Romney, for leadership and direction.

If you still have doubts, I welcome your comments. Many of you have already been posting them, and are talking to each other on my various "religious tolerance" posts. Please continue to do so. It is my wish that you use my posts as if they were "evangelical Christian vs. Mormon" forums. If you post a comment, please make sure to check back and see if someone else has answered you. In this way, perhaps  true dialogue can take place, and a few hearts and minds enlightened.
