Has Pat Robertson completely lost his mind? I have always looked at him with some amount of doubt regarding his integrity as a Christian spokesperson, but it now looks as though he has completely lost his mind. Whatever respect Pat Robertson may still have from those evangelical Christians that look up to him is now about to go down the tubes.
Most conservatives know that Rudy Giuliani is a liberal pretending to be a conservative. Evidently Pat Robertson's prophetic ability, a gift he claims to possess when praying for viewers with terminal diseases on CBN's 700 Club telecast, was severely malfunctioning when he made this announcement.
Shall I call this a moment of temporary insanity, or is it something more? Maybe Pat Robertson could not bring himself to the mental state of Christian tolerance that I have so often referred to when writing about Governor Mitt Romney and his Mormon faith.
I can't know for sure, of course, but let this be a warning to my evangelical Christian readers that are still refusing to accept Mitt Romney as the only viable Republican presidential candidate. It is ultimately going to be your choice. I hope you are not faced with the dire prospect of being forced to make a decision between Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton.
