Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Mitt Romney received the endorsement of Rhode Island State Representative Joseph A. Trillo on Monday, November 5. Mitt Romney is already being endorsed by Rhode Island Governor Don Carcieri. 1
"'Governor Romney is the one candidate who can bring change to Washington,'" said State Representative Trillo. "'He has the experience, vision and values to lead our nation. His years in the private sector have given him the background we need in Washington to strengthen the economy, cut government spending, and keep taxes low. His leadership will allow our nation to remain a leader in the global market.'" 1
Governor Mitt Romney also received the endorsement of "Mr. Conservative" Paul Weyrich on November 5.* Mitt Romney's list of supporters seems to be growing steadily, especially among conservative leaders such as Paul Weyrich. Paul Weyrich helped found the Moral Majority with the late Rev. Jerry Falwell.* If you are an evangelical Christian, then please recognize the fact that Mitt Romney's values are equal to yours. Do not base your support or lack of support on Mitt Romney's Mormon religion.
Commentators continue to tirelessly post their comments on my blog regarding their negative feelings about Mormons and Mormonism. My response is this: there is plenty of room in Heaven for both Mormons and evangelical Christians. Heaven is not an exclusive club for evangelical Christians, and, in the final analysis, the population of Hell shall be determined by God.
