Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Mitt Romney is now being officially endorsed by conservative leader Paul Weyrich. An announcement was made on Monday, November 5. According to an inside source, Paul Weyrich is so conservative that he is often thought of as "Mr. Conservative." 1
"Weyrich is chairman and chief executive officer of the Free Congress Foundation. He helped found the conservative Heritage Foundation and worked with the late Rev. Jerry Falwell to establish the Moral Majority." 1
"Less than a year ago, Weyrich was among the conservative leaders expressing concerns about Romney." 1
"'As he travels across the country, Governor Romney has outlined a blueprint to build a stronger America rooted in our common conservative principles,'" Paul Weyrich said in a statement. "'With a clear conservative vision to move America forward, he will strengthen our economy, our military and our families.'" 1
I have written several posts pertaining to evangelical leaders that have recently announced their support of Governor Mitt Romney, such as evangelical publicist Mark DeMoss, Dr. Bob Jones III, Pastor Joel Osteen, and Dr. Wayne Grudem.* Paul Weyrich is another person of considerable influence to join the growing rank of conservative leaders in support of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Need I say more?
To those evangelical Christians that still base their support of Mitt Romney on the question of whether he is, or is not, a candidate for Hell one day because he is a Mormon, I would suggest that you pay heed to your conservative leaders, and read my related posts on this topic.**
