Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Mitt Romney has received more than his fair share of Mormon intolerance from some evangelical Christians. Should evangelical Christians reject Mitt Romney as a Republican presidential candidate simply because he is a Mormon?
Read about William Tyndale, the 16th century scholar, Protestant reformer, and Christian martyr. William Tyndale's passion for religious freedom inspired persecuted Christians that journeyed to America. They fled from the same Church that had ordered William Tyndale to be burned at the stake for translating the Bible into the English language.
We take all of this for granted today, but the right to read the Bible in one’s own home, and to interpret the Bible without the authority of the established Church, was almost unheard of during the time of William Tyndale.

"Therefore, it would dishonor the memory of William Tyndale, and all of the other Christian martyrs that were killed because of their so-called dissenting viewpoints, if Christians today were to 'cast away' Mitt Romney just because he is a Mormon."
