Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: Mitt Romney spent part of his holiday weekend at French's Toy Shop in Concord, New Hampshire. Mitt was looking for hammers and other tools for his grandson Parker. When finished shopping, Mitt responded outside to attacks that had recently been made by Rudy Giuliani regarding Governor Romney's appointment of Superior Court Judge Kathe Tuttman. 1 *(See my recent post about this.)
Mitt said that out of all the people that might have made attacks like this, he thought Giuliani would have been the least likely to do so because Giuliani appointed, then recommended to President Bush, a police commissioner that was indicted for 16 criminal actions. Rudy Giuliani's recommendation was that this police commissioner should be head of Homeland Security! Mitt also said that Giuliani's attacks might be based on "a level of desperation" as Giuliani is rapidly going down in the New Hampshire polls. 1
