Burns' 'The War' PBS Gold

Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: This is a friendly reminder that all episodes of Ken Burns' The War will be rebroadcast on KCET in Los Angeles, California all day on Sunday, September 30, beginning at 10:00 AM. This is a great opportunity to see some, or all, of the episodes a second time, or catch up on the parts that you missed. Part five, which has not yet been shown, will air Sunday night.

If you have not been watching this special PBS telecast of The War, which premiered on Sunday, September 23, you don't realize what a rare educational experience you have been missing. This new series only proves once again that Ken Burns is a true master at producing and directing documentaries that enlighten all of us.

Also, let us not forget the rare talent of the writer, Geoffrey C. Ward, who has collaborated with Ken Burns on documentaries such as The Civil War and Baseball since 1984.
This series is PBS at its best and should not be missed.
