Vote "No" on Anti-Mormon Rhetoric

Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin writes: I am not comfortable with Anti-Mormon rhetoric. I think it is because I have written several posts about Mitt Romney, and Mormons, in a positive light. In order to write these posts, I had to do some serious research, and pondering, to find out how I really feel about Mormons, or, as they prefer to be called, Latter-day Saints. Consequently, I find that I am now more accepting of the Mormon faith than I used to be. Tolerance is an interesting ideal which, when practiced, can actually become real.

Mormons have made, and continue to make, good contributions to American society. According to LDS Family Services, their charitable works date back to 1830, and include helping poor people, working with unwed mothers, foster care, and a special focus on foster care for Native American children, raising them and educating them in their own homes.

The following brief summary is from Governor Romneys

I think Mitt Romney is a good example of a person who was raised with the best of Mormon principles. These have obviously influenced him to become a person of incredible morality and a deep sense of what is wrong and right.

Also, for those evangelicals that are still having a problem with the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon, check out this website: http://www.evangelicalsformitt.org/.
