Conservative Wordsmith writes: These are the names of the six miners who have been trapped since Monday in Utah’s Crandall Canyon Mine. “Sanchez has been trapped since early Monday, along with five other miners. The mining company has not released the miners' names, but family and friends have confirmed to CNN the identities of Sanchez, Kerry Allred, Carlos Payan, Brandon Phillips, Alonso Hernandez and Erickson.” They did not respond to tapped signals, even though they have been trained to respond to them by clanging loudly on anything made out of metal: “Rescue workers pounded on the drill steel several times. Miners are trained to respond to these series of taps as loud as they can on anything metallic, but there was no reply.”
A vertical camera lens lowered into the mine revealed a 5½-foot space that could be used for a survival area. “The first images of the cavity showed a 5½-foot void with the roof line intact and about two feet of broken coal mixed with some water on the mine floor, he said. Compressed air is being pumped into the area through the hole.” Click here to view the entire CNN.com article.

Please pray for a miracle for these six brave miners and their families. The part of the mine they are trapped in is extremely deep, making it difficult to communicate with anyone on the outside. These men are true American heroes.
